Mathew JayneHead of Operations, The Lowry
Mathew Jayne is a senior manager with 25 years’ experience in the hospitality and venue management industry. After completing his degree in Hospitality Business Management at Leeds Metropolitan University he moved to London and trained with Radisson Edwardian Hotels at the Marlborough, Kenilworth & Vanderbilt Hotels.
Following this Mathew worked at the Montcalm Hotel, Conference Forum and British Library, whilst also working for a number of prestigious outside catering companies including Mustard, Lorna Wing and Moving Venue Caterers, at numerous venues and private houses across London, before helping to launch Vinopolis, the unique venue by Borough Market.
In 2002 Mathew relocated to Manchester working at The Bridgewater Hall for five years, and then onto The Lowry. Mathew has also had a role with service office provider MWB Business Exchange and Manchester Metropolitan University as Head of Commercial Services.
He also runs his own business, Unique Venues of Manchester, activity promoting venues to the conference and events market, and is a committee member for the North-West branch of the Institute of Hospitality.
